International Day of Yoga - 21. June 2015

Today in Vishwa Guru Deep Ashram, (Shyam Nagar, Jaipur) International Day of Yoga program from 9 – 11 AM attended more than 80 people.


The program started with deepak prajvalan and Vedic mantras.



Priyanka Dadeech, M.Sc. Yoga, spoke about the benefits of yoga and why is the International Day of Yoga important for us.



Kapil Agarwal, secretary (Swami Madhawananda World Peace Council), said that through yoga we can achieve peace firstly within ourselves, and then around us.




DGP Kanhaiyalal Bairwa (retd.) described the current situation of yoga in India, and why we should practice it regularly.




A yoga demonstration was given by Prem Milan from Croatia and Vasiheshika from Jaipur.





Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyaneshwar spoke about the founder of Yoga in Daily Life, the System, and Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda's work in Europe. Vishwaguruji is teaching and spreading the knowledge of yoga since his arrival in Europe in 1972. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have practiced Yoga in Daily Life, and tens of thousands are practicing it daily today.

The demonstration and practice of Anuloma Viloma Pranayama and Kapalbhati was next on the program, and program was concluded with a meditation practice.





Participants enjoyed snacks and refreshments whilst practicing, learning and developing the spiritual side of their practice.
